Ralph Fertig gave me a copy of this many years ago and told me, "here it is, everything you ever wanted to know about cycling. It really is. I like how low-frills this book is, too. And it definitely has attitude, just like its author. Forester is no sugar cookie. He even gives a few tips on how one might effectively smash in the front window of a car should the driver prove to require such an act. My goodness. I read this in little bits and I'm very happy it is in my library.
